Taming enterprise-sized job libraries with Textio Groups

One of the most valuable parts of Textio is the shared document library. Without Textio, whenever someone at a company has to post a new job listing, they start by digging through their own old folders, the existing company job board, and their organization’s shared storage locations. The goal is to find a job listing that’s close enough to the needs of the current team, and repurpose it as quickly as possible. When Textio isn’t being used, there’s no way of knowing if the old listing worked well the first time or if it will work any better today.

When an enterprise uses Textio, everything the team writes is stored in the Textio document library and shared with the other writers at the company. When they’re shared in one place that’s optimized for jobs, it’s easy to find a strong job listing to start from, and then collaborate to perfect it with a few smart changes.

Some of our largest enterprise customers have hundreds of people contributing thousands of job listings to their team’s shared document library. In those cases, it’s almost certain that someone has already written something very close to what’s needed. In fact, there might even be too many great documents to choose from.

To make it easier for our users to find the perfect job listing, Textio recently added “Groups,” a brand new feature that lets companies organize their people and documents into groups that make sense for their particular enterprise.

The new groups feature - choose your group selector

People can choose their own groups, or be assigned to groups by their team admins. Whenever a person shares a document, it will automatically be associated with the right group.

When people are looking for documents, they can choose to focus on just their own group’s documents and ignore any docs that aren’t relevant. Of course, writers can also choose to browse the entire enterprise library if they want to broaden their search for the perfect job listing.

Groups are used for reporting purposes, too! When Textio analyzes a team’s writing, it can report on individual groups and compare them to each other to find unique strengths or areas for improvement within an organization.

Groups are one more way that Textio helps an enterprise build an incredibly valuable library of reusable job listings, while helping the company grow a strong team of skilled and efficient writers.

As more and more enterprises have adopted Textio, the product has evolved to meet the unique needs of large scale companies. In addition to groups, our enterprise customers get a more secure and efficient sign in flow, help following the company’s compliance standards, and guidance tuned specifically for the specific enterprise.
