With Black Friday (and #OptOutside) upon us this Friday, it’s officially that time of year when a lot of temporary jobs open up to get the retail and shipping sectors through their busiest—and most profitable—time of year.
We dug into Textio’s job posting data to find seasonal jobs in the U.S., and since many of those jobs run from Thanksgiving to Christmas, we included those two terms in our search as well. Then we ranked the results by city and pulled out the top 10 results: the final tally is shown below.
New York City can claim over 40% of the seasonal jobs offered by these 10 cities! But San Francisco is no slouch either. And it should come as no surprise that you’ll also find each of these locations in the top 20 U.S. cities by GDP!
